Hello there, loyal listeners!
It turns out that Season 5, Episode 90 contains quite a few songs that were iconic in the early days of MTV, but don’t worry, there are plenty of other genres to enjoy.
We have Michigan shoegaze, Minnesotan shoegaze, southern charm, space jams, British New Wave, 2nd Wave Ska, experimental narrative improvisations, Bay Area soul funk, gawdawful “spooky” children’s music, New York black metal, American New Wave, pub rock, country pop, more Bay Area funk, a tribute to the recently departed Tito Jackson, and some southern soul rock.
Let me know what your favorite track is 💖

S05E90 Music Behind the DJ: “Charade” performed by Charlie Barnet and his Orchestra. Why? Well, it caught my eye looking at the selection of tracks on the Reader’s Digest easy listening box set Happiness Is…
S05E90 Amplifier Header Image: Bart asks his pal Milhouse if he’d like a “wet willie” in “Bart’s Friend Falls in Love” (Season 3, Episode 23). Why? The very last song in S05E90 is performed by Mobile AL’s very own Wet Willie.
